Channel 4's Matt Frei gets his head bitten off!

C4’s Matt Frei is no slouch when it comes to journalism.  His special on Trump last night was a great watch.  Mostly for his row with America First Director, Fred Fleitz who castigated the ‘liberal British elite’ for Frei’s previous interview with Trump’s nephew Fred.  Fred Trump is not a fan of his uncle - but Fred Fleitz was incensed that Frei had ‘wasted’ precious air time destroying America’s new leader.  But in doing so - and in shooting the messenger, Fleitz entirely wasted his own precious airtime by denigrating the journalism and thereby forfeiting his right to be heard.  As is often said on our media training sessions, the questions that journalists deem to ask are theirs and theirs alone. It’s not personal, it’s just business.  And it’s the ‘business’ of journalism that some people find difficult to swallow.  Fred Fleitz amongst them!
