Who is Dark Star Media?
Dark Star Media is led by Andy Hitchcock, a highly experienced media and communications trainer who has worked in corporate communications for the last 20 years dovetailing a 20 year career with BBC News and ITV News as a presenter and producer at national, regional and local level - and at BBC Westminster.

Founder & Director
Andy has delivered thousands of training sessions for a wide variety of private and public sector clients across a huge variety of industries including rail, energy, retail, environmental, charity, financial, industrial and pharmaceutical. ​
Andy is supported by other media specialists offering a bespoke range of communications training courses, online or face to face. He also has an MA in Mass Communications and a mini-MBA.​​
Jeremy Pollock
Senior Trainer
Jeremy is a former BBC journalist, producer and manager with extensive experience in news across radio, TV and online. He's run multiple BBC Local Radio stations increasing audience engagement with digital newsgathering.
Sophie Marsh
Media Trainer
Sophie has 25 years experience across multiple BBC platforms. She began on Top Gear and Gardener’s World before moving in to studio production. Her passion for current affairs led her into journalism, spending 15 years as a reporter and producer for BBC News
Perdie Geering
Finance & Media Manager
With a background in the legal and education sectors together with entrepreneurship, Perdie brings a wealth of experience to Dark Star Media. She oversees administration, finance, and general operations in the office and on training days.
Jacob Wright
Media Assistant
A Film & TV graduate from Falmouth University, Jacob delivers technical expertise and creative insight providing essential camera and media support for onsite sessions.
Jo Gerry
Training Liaison
Jo delivers seamless client experiences at Dark Star Media managing training schedules, venues, transport, and travel. Her proactive approach allows teams to focus on delivering exceptional training.
